Sign #25 - The Jews Have And Still Are Being Persecuted.

In the Pre-existence, the most faithful spirits of our Heavenly Father, when they were sent to the earth for their test, became the Jews.  They were so devout to God the Father and His Son Jehovah, that when Jehovah came to earth, He came through the lineage of Israel and we know Him as Jesus Christ, the Son of God. 

Because they rejected the truth, all the curses that Moses had said finally came upon the Jews.  See:

If the children of Israel are obedient, they will be blessed temporally and spiritually—If they are disobedient, they will be cursed, smitten, and destroyed; diseases, plagues, and oppression will come upon them; they will serve false gods and become a byword among all nations; fierce nations will enslave them; and they will eat their own children and be scattered among all nations.

The Lord, during His Ministry, made predictions also.

LUKE 21: 20-24

20 And when ye shall see Jerusalem compassed with armies, then know that the desolation thereof is nigh.

21 Then let them which are in Judæa flee to the mountains; and let them which are in the midst of it depart out; and let not them that are in the countries enter thereinto.

 

22 For these be the days of vengeance, that all things which are written may be fulfilled.

23 But woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck, in those days! for there shall be great distress in the land, and wrath upon this people.

 

24 And they shall fall by the edge of the sword, and shall be led away captive into all nations: and Jerusalem shall be trodden down of the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled.

 

This has happened about 70 A.D., and the Times of the Gentiles is very close to being fulfilled.

 

In our day the Lord has said through Revelation given through Joseph Smith the Prophet to the Church, at Kirtland, Ohio, 7 March 1831, tells what has and will happen.

 

DOCTRINE and COVENANTS 45: 18-32

18 And now ye behold this temple which is in Jerusalem, which ye call the house of God, and your enemies say that this house shall never fall.

19 But, verily I say unto you, that desolation shall come upon this generation as a thief in the night, and this people shall be destroyed and scattered among all nations.

 

20 And this temple which ye now see shall be thrown down that there shall not be left one stone upon another.    

 

(Happened in 70 A.D.)

 

21 And it shall come to pass, that this generation of Jews shall not pass away until every desolation which I have told you concerning them shall come to pass.

 

22 Ye say that ye know that the end of the world cometh; ye say also that ye know that the heavens and the earth shall pass away;

 

23 And in this ye say truly, for so it is; but these things which I have told you shall not pass away until all shall be fulfilled.

 

24 And this I have told you concerning Jerusalem; and when that day shall come, shall a remnant be scattered among all nations;  (Has happened 70 A.D).

 

25 But they shall be gathered again; but they shall remain until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled.      (Soon to come)

 

26 And in that day   (Our day NOW)   shall be heard of wars and rumors of wars, and the whole earth shall be in commotion, and men’s hearts shall fail them, and they shall say that Christ delayeth his coming until the end of the earth.

 

27 And the love of men shall wax cold, and iniquity shall abound.

 

28 And when the times of the Gentiles is come in,   (Come in - Not Fulfilled)   a light shall break forth among them that sit in darkness, and it shall be the fulness of my gospel;  (The RESTORED GOSPEL)

29 But they receive it not; for they perceive not the light, and they turn their hearts from me because of the precepts of men.

30 And in that generation shall the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled.

31 And there shall be men standing in that generation, that shall not pass until they shall see an overflowing scourge; for a desolating sickness shall cover the land.

32 But my disciples shall stand in holy places, and shall not be moved; but among the wicked, men shall lift up their voices and curse God and die.

 

We can see now, in our day, that the Jews have become a Hiss and a Byword and have been treated bad among all nations of the earth.

 

But, what a miracle, that the Jews continue to be a Distinct People after all their persecutions and sufferings.  They have been slaughtered, burned, driven and scourged, but they are still a people.

 

It appears that the people of the earth intend to do this again, to even try to Eliminate them from off the face of the earth, but the Lord said this will NEVER happen.  They are His People and He will preserve them with His Power.  WOE be unto those who fight against His people.  Those who bless Israel will be blessed, and those who curse Israel will be cursed.

REMEMBER, IF YOU DO, YOU ARE FIGHTING AGAINST THE LORD.  And you have NO POWER, compared to HIS. 

 

When they are attacked at Armageddon, many of Israel will die, but part of Israel will be saved and He will appear on the Mount of Olives at that crucial time and Eliminate ALL of the Armies attacking them.

 

He will then reveal at that time that He is the one their fathers crucified, that He is Jesus Christ, the Son of God, and they will morn and accept Him at that time.
